Jacob's Den is a one-person business run from an office in my Derbyshire garden. The business was born after an unsuccessful search for bedding to help keep one of my dogs, who had urine incontinence, dry and comfortable overnight. Frustratingly, nothing existed, and I had to get out of bed multiple times a night to change her bedding and dry her off. I spent a few months researching different absorbent fabrics, learning to use a sewing machine using YouTube, and managed to put together a sample absorbent mat. Straight away, I realised I had created something that would benefit a lot of dogs, improving the quality of life of elderly dogs, disabled dogs, and those with incontinence for other reasons. I made a few more samples to send off to be tested at The Smart Clinic in Swansea and to other people with incontinent dogs to try in a vet and home environment. The Wet Dog Mat was born, and thousands of dogs are now cleaner, dryer, and happier! 

Spurred on by the success, I started to design further products with my other dogs in mind. I slowly began to create a range of complimentary home and travel products for pets that offer comfort and warmth whilst using stylish fabrics that fit into every home.

These beautiful rainbow dogs have been part of the Jacob's Den team since the beginning. All of the products designed have been created for them. In their memory, the business continues to keep dogs warm and snug.
